Your guide to LNER Perks

LNER is the main operator on the East Coast Mainline, covering travel between London Kings Cross and Leeds, York, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Inverness (plus many stations in between).

LNER Perks

Additional discounts are often hard to find on UK railways as everyone generally sells at the same price but If you are a frequent (or even infrequent) traveller on LNER, it is probably worth taking a look at their loyalty programme – LNER Perks – which allows you to make savings on your travel.

LNER Perks Benefits

First of all you get 2% credit back on all LNER travel, this can be used against a future trip, gifted to a friend or donated to charity.  This is on top of any savings with a railcard.

Importantly, the ticket does not have to be booked directly with LNER so if you have bought your ticket elsewhere or have a business trip booked through your employer, you can still claim the 2%.  There are a few rules (must have a booked seat reservation, ticket must be added within 7 days of travel) but all can be managed via the LNER app.

If you have a railcard, you still get the 2% credit on the amount paid (ie after your 1/3 discount).

Secondly, you get 10% off onboard food & drink

There are also various exclusive offers and competitions each month.

Where can I join?
