Flying Blue Experiences: VIP Events Using Miles
Fancy watching France play in the Six Nations from a VIP box, or enjoying a concert by a major international artist with food, drinks and hospitality included?
Flying Blue miles aren’t just for booking flights. Since January 2026, members of the Air France-KLM loyalty programme have also been able to redeem their miles for exclusive experiences at two of Paris’s biggest entertainment venues – the Accor Arena and Stade de France.
These aren’t ordinary event tickets. Flying Blue Experiences include access to a private VIP box, premium seating, food, drinks and other hospitality benefits, with tickets available for everything from international rugby matches to concerts by some of the world’s biggest artists.
But with redemptions costing anywhere from 40,000 to 120,000 Flying Blue miles per person, are you actually getting good value compared with using those miles for flights?
We investigated the events available, what’s included in the hospitality packages and how much value you can expect from your miles.
Where can you use Flying Blue Experiences?
Accor Arena
The indoor arena in Paris hosts major international concerts and sporting events. Flying Blue offers access to a 16-seat VIP box for selected events throughout the year.
Stade de France
France’s national stadium hosts major rugby and football internationals alongside large-scale concerts. Flying Blue offers VIP hospitality for selected events.
Flying Blue has also stated that “other experiences will gradually be introduced to enhance this offer”.
What is included with Flying Blue Experiences?
Flying Blue Experiences offer considerably more than a standard event ticket. The hospitality package includes:
- Access to an exclusive 16-seat Flying Blue VIP box
- A dedicated VIP entrance
- Premium views of the event
- A gourmet meal
- Drinks throughout the event
- Reserved parking when booking two tickets
It is important to distinguish this package from a standard entry ticket. You are not simply redeeming miles for a concert or sporting event – you’re paying for a hospitality experience. Of course, whether the additional benefits justify the miles depends on how much you personally value VIP seating, food and drinks.

Are Flying Blue Experiences good value?
This is a difficult question to answer because you are not comparing like with like.
If you simply want to attend a concert or sporting event, Flying Blue Experiences are an expensive way to use your miles. We found that the most expensive standard tickets for Vanessa Paradis, France v Argentina, Tame Impala and Laura Pausini were priced between €110 and €168.
Redeeming 50,000 or more Flying Blue miles for an event where an ordinary ticket costs around €150 is unlikely to represent particularly good value.
However, these aren’t ordinary tickets. The Flying Blue packages include access to a private VIP box, premium seating, food, drinks and other hospitality benefits. Comparable hospitality packages for major sporting events and concerts can be considerably more expensive than standard admission.
If you value Flying Blue miles at around 1p each, a redemption costing 50,000 miles is effectively setting you back £500. Whether that represents good value depends on what you would otherwise be prepared to pay for the hospitality experience.
There is another potential benefit: availability. When we checked in October 2026, five of the seven events available through Flying Blue Experiences were already sold out through normal ticketing channels. Although resale and other hospitality options will still exist, Flying Blue Experiences can offer another way to secure tickets for popular events.
We also noticed that redemption prices appear to have increased since the programme launched. For example, tickets for France v England in the 2026 Six Nations were initially offered for 60,000 miles before increasing to 80,000 miles. Meanwhile, France v Wales in the 2027 Six Nations is currently priced at 95,000 miles, for arguably a lower-profile game. This is a substantial number of miles for one ticket to a single event, particularly when you consider the flights and other travel costs involved in getting to Paris.
Ultimately, the value depends less on the face value of the event ticket and more on how much you personally value the hospitality experience.
Anything else you need to know
The Flying Blue member who made the booking must be present at the event. Guests may accompany the Flying Blue member but may not attend the event without them.

Our Take
Flying Blue Experiences is an interesting addition to the ways you can spend your miles, particularly if you’re a fan of live music or international sport.
The attraction is clear. Rather than simply getting a seat at an event, you’re getting a VIP hospitality package with premium views, food, drinks and access to an exclusive Flying Blue box.
For someone who would normally pay for hospitality at a major concert or sporting event, these redemptions can represent decent value. They can also be particularly interesting when the event is sold out and ordinary tickets are difficult to obtain.
However, we wouldn’t recommend using your Flying Blue miles this way simply because you have some sitting in your account. At a valuation of 1p per mile, even the cheaper experiences represent an effective cost of £400–£500 per person, while the most expensive currently available redemption would be equivalent to £1,200. Clearly a lot to spend on a single evening, particularly when you also need to consider getting to Paris and potentially paying for a hotel.
There is also the question of whether you actually want the additional hospitality. If you’re perfectly happy with a standard concert ticket and aren’t particularly interested in a private box, gourmet food or included drinks, you’re probably better off buying a normal ticket and saving your miles for flights.
On the other hand, if you are sitting on a file of Flying Blue miles that you are struggling to use, or you fancy experiencing a major sporting event or concert from a VIP box, Flying Blue Experiences offers an opportunity to do something a little different without spending hundreds of pounds in cash.
We particularly like the fact that Flying Blue has made these experiences available through straightforward miles redemptions rather than auctions, so you know exactly how many miles you’ll need.
Our approach would be to regard Flying Blue Experiences as a one-off treat rather than an everyday way of spending miles. For the right event, and especially if you would otherwise pay for hospitality, it could be an excellent use of your balance. But if your priority is simply getting into the venue as cheaply as possible, you will almost certainly find better value elsewhere.
